General Activities - Camp Master Corps
The Camp Master Corps is a group of experienced volunteer Scouters who
provide support and assistance to Scout units and outside groups utilizing
our camps on a short term basis. This team of highly skilled Scouters
assists units and groups with check-in and check-out from camp, equipment
needs, camp information, program support and troubleshooting while they are
in camp Campmasters are selected on the basis of their ability in several
areas: outdoor skills, specialized knowledge of nature and conservation, and
leadership skills.
Camp Masters select their own time and frequency of service, but they
usually serve two to four times per year. All Camp Masters must have a
record of demonstrated ability to get along with people, to lead, and to act
in an emergency as well as a working knowledge of Scouting, Unit operations,
Scout advancement, and Webelos Scout camping. All experienced and registered
Scouters are eligible for consideration as Camp Masters.
